Blackjack is a well known casino game that has gained recognition all over the world. This is a banking game that is also known as 21. In this game, the player has to compete against the dealer and have to gain the total of cards more than that of dealers, without exceeding 21. The player with the highest total will win the game.

  • • Hitting: Hitting means that player wants to hit another card and this cards number will be added in the total points. Tapping is used to tell the dealer for hitting the card.
  • • Standing: Standing means that player do not want any other card. He or she is satisfied with the total points and wants to know the total of the dealer. The signal of standing is waving the hands over the cards.
  • • Doubling: Doubling strategy can be adopted when the player has at least got two cards. He or she can double the points, as well as, betting amount. The double strategy is being adopted to get double winning amount.
  • • Splitting: The player can only use splitting strategy if he or she two cards of the same ranks. By calling this strategy, the player can play two hands at same time with the same betting amount.
  • • Insurance: Insurance is offered to the player, if dealer has up card of an ace. The player is given option to bet another half insurance amount. It means that if the player will lose the game, he or she will lose only half amount. And if he or she will win the game, he or she will get half insurance amount and full betted amount. This is the best strategy which every player should adopt in this type of situation.
  • • Surrender: Surrender is the strategy in which player has an option to pay the half bet and quit the game. This is the best strategy, if player is sure that he or she will lose the game.

Basic Blackjack Strategy

- You must split your pairs of Aces and eights but you don't have to split other strong pairs like Jacks, Queens or Kings.
- You must double down on 10 and 11 but never if you get an Ace.
- If the dealer shows a 10, Hit until 17 and hit a soft 18. In the long run is better than Stand option.
- Never split 44, 55, or 1010.
- If the dealer shows 2 or 3 and you get 12 then you have to hit. You have to stand in this spot if you have 13 or more.
- If the dealer last card is 7 or higher, Hit until you get a 17.
